My dear hubby has been taking pics now for just around a year and is really doing an amazing job! This is one he took yesterday of our oldest, Violett, riding her new big wheels that grandma and poppa got for her. She just loves it and I'm sure she will spend most of her time outside on it this summer.

Addicted to Instagram

I've been using Instagram a whole bunch lately. I really like using it because the pictures don't necessarily have to be crystal clear to end up looking good and I can post them directly to all my social media accounts at the same time. I think I'll need to take a few of Violett because I've got none of her! She spends most of her day at school and is loving it!

First Bee of the Season!

We came across this big guy on our walk to school this afternoon. He obviously just came out of hibernation because he was very slow. What a pretty bee!

Superman Clutch

I've been doing a fair amount of sewing lately and have ventured into zipper territory. I thought it would be much much harder than its turned out to be.

I whipped up this zippered clutch today with the last remnants of the Superman fabric I bought for the pouches. It looks good, but I think it could use some interfacing to give it some decent body structure. Oh well. Live and learn!

First Day of School!

It's a life changing moment! That first morning when you have to get up early and get ready to go to school! She's having a blast and loves to strike a pose. First day of kindergarten, September 4, 2012. And for the record...no, I did not cry!

Candy Corn Gnome Hat

I'm planning on making the girls' costumes early this year and they will be candy corn faeries! Here's the first hat and I'll be ordering some tulle in white, orange and yellow soon to make tutus! How exciting!!!
