First Day of School!

It's a life changing moment! That first morning when you have to get up early and get ready to go to school! She's having a blast and loves to strike a pose. First day of kindergarten, September 4, 2012. And for the record...no, I did not cry!

Candy Corn Gnome Hat

I'm planning on making the girls' costumes early this year and they will be candy corn faeries! Here's the first hat and I'll be ordering some tulle in white, orange and yellow soon to make tutus! How exciting!!!

Emma Lee Farms

We have had cousin Ella staying with us over the weekend and had to return her to my sister today. We met at Emma Lee Farms.
It's a great berry farm and they have tons of varieties. We picked Blueberries!! I picked a big bucket and it was only $13!!

Denim Shark 1 & 2

The gutted shark on top was the first attempt. It looked too much like a whale in the nose area so it gets scrapped.
The darker denim shark is attempt #2. It looks better, but still not quite what I'm looking for. Poor thing will most likely be gutted for its ploy-fil stuffing.
I think I just have to tweak the pattern a bit and hopefully third times a charm!

Here's the bunny I gave to my mom for her birthday. It's super cool and if you care to know where the pattern came from I posted it on my fb page a while back. I think the creator is called wee ones.
I really like the geometric shapes and the different B&W fabrics.

These Black Apple Dolls will be the take home gift for the girls coming to Violetts 5th birthday party this Saturday! The weather is supposed to be great and I'm looking forward to it being over, lol! I've been working away at these dolls for about a week (with help from my mom) and I only have one stage left to do. Stuff them and sew on the legs! Tomorrow is the day to finish them as I have other mini projects I need to complete before Saturday!!!
