Ribbed Crochet Stocking Hat (by Teresa)

This is my version of the Ribbed Crochet Stocking Hat by Teresa. I really like the way it turned out. I did make some changes, but the general idea is the same. My rib stitch is in the back loop only on each row instead of in the stitch under the loops. I did learn how to make a foundation chain (really cool!) and sewing up the seam to make it invisible (mostly). Thanks, Teresa!

Learn to Crochet is a really good blog and I've been lurking around for a few weeks watching her videos on youtube and looking through the patterns on her blog.

Hi Johanna.
Can you please tell me which loop you crocheted through instead of the one Teresa uses? I came across your hat after watching lots of Teresa's videos and I love the ribbing effect you've created! I'm no good with patterns though - I learn visually (hence the videos). Could you please help me out and specify how you created this effect? I'd be super appreciative!
Many thanks and regards,
Laura

WOW!
Thank you so much! That's really kind of you Johanna. I'll get right on it and be sure to send you some piccies when I'm done. I'm very slow though and trying to make a slouchy style version, so bear with me, ha!
Thank you!
Laura
